The 3 Best Places to Buy a House in Washington State

Washington state has been viewed as a paradise of great weather, beautiful views, and booming industry for the last fifty years: but all of that good brings a price tag with it.  Whether you’re trying to save money and start a family or you want a property that shows how much you’ve grown in your career, there’s a lot to consider before you move here.

These are the top three places to buy a home in Washington!

Why Washington State?

Washington state has been judged for the last twenty years as an expensive place to live: but it’s not that bad if you know where to buy and how to invest.  Beyond the price, this is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, full of endless greenery, mountain and sea views, and industries that are extremely lucrative.

If you’re picking somewhere to live, you couldn’t choose better than this state.

1. Redmond

If you’re a tech junkie who wants to make a lot of money, live in a quieter community, and still be only 15 miles from downtown Seattle: Redmond should be home for you.  Here, you’ll get to live in a smaller city with tons of delicious food, fast-paced entertainment, and beautiful views, with some of the largest tech names in the world calling this city home.

Not only is this North America’s home base for Nintendo, but it’s also where Microsoft has its headquarters and has offices for everything from SpaceX to smaller businesses as well.  This is a pricy place to live, but the perks are worth it.

2. Bellevue

Bellevue houses for sale may be some of the most expensive on this list: but they’re worth the price.  Bellevue has been lauded as a mini-Seattle.  Not only does it have all of the fun and excitement of the big city, but the prices are better, and you have room to breathe and relax here.  It’s the best of both worlds.

3. Tacoma

Tacoma has a rough reputation because of higher crime rates, but this is an affordable and gorgeous city to call home.  As a port city, you get to enjoy the best views and rent that sits below $2,000 a month.  This is a dream come true for anyone wanting to call the PNW their new home.

What to Know Before You Move

Before you move, it’s a good idea to have three months of expenses lined up and to have some type of job in the works.  If you telecommute for work, this is the best since you won’t have to worry about job hunting and huge career changes after you arrive.

Three months’ savings should be based on what living in Washington will look like for you, not just three months of income where you currently are.  The last thing you want to do is find yourself short on income with no savings here.

Washington is a Stunning Place to Live

This state has charm, beauty, and endless possibilities.  If you’re ready to settle down somewhere incredible, there’s no better state out there than Washington.
